Air Duct & Dryer Vent Cleaning FAQ
Straight answers to the questions we hear most from Miami homeowners.
How much does air duct cleaning cost in Miami?
It depends on the size of the home, the number of vents and AC systems, and how much buildup there is. We inspect first and give you a firm price before any work starts. Estimates are free.
How often should air ducts be cleaned in Miami?
Every 3 to 5 years is a common guideline. Clean sooner if you have pets, allergies, a recent renovation, or you don't know when the ducts were last cleaned. In Miami, where the AC runs most of the year, ducts tend to get dirty faster.
How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?
At least once a year. More often if you do laundry every day, have a large household, or your vent run is long or goes through the roof.
How long does the job take?
A dryer vent cleaning usually takes about an hour. Air duct cleaning for a typical home takes a few hours, depending on the number of vents and systems. We'll give you a time estimate when we quote.
Do you remove and clean the vent covers?
Yes. We remove each cover, clean it, clean the vent boot behind it, and put it back.
Is duct cleaning messy?
No. We cover the floors in the work area, and the dust goes into our vacuum equipment, not into your house.
What if you find mold?
If we see growth that looks like mold, we'll show you photos and explain your options. In Florida, mold assessment and remediation are licensed trades, so we'll point you to the right specialist rather than treat it ourselves.
Do you also do AC repair and installation?
Yes. Besides duct and dryer vent cleaning, we handle AC repair, HVAC maintenance and tune-ups, new AC and heat pump installation, and thermostat installation.
Do you sweep chimneys?
Yes. We sweep and inspect chimneys, including the flue, cap, crown and damper.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. We work by appointment. Call us or request an estimate online and we'll schedule a time that works for you.
